Alfa Romeo 156 Sportwagon Estate Diesel MJet 16v in Sutton Coldfield, Warwickshire for sale

Hi, i am relisting my Alfa 156 on a spares or repair basis. It had previously sold, however the next day the new owner reported the clutch is slipping and the car was smoking heavily, so he was given a full refund. I have since investigated the clutch and can find no problem with it, starting off in a high gear or going up a steep hill. It feels light and smooth not heavy, there seems to be some slack evident on take up but does not hinder progress. The black smoke issue appears to be due overfuelling as the air intake pipe coming adrift, a new jubilee clip has secured it properly. The car passed the MOT only two weeks ago and it was fine then, so I am assuming this is the issue, there is now no warning light and the car drives as it should. It has had a couple of test drives from prospective buyers who thought it drove well, but they did not win the auction! So in the interest of clarity, it is for sale on a spares or repairs basis. The car is in good condition and has a new MOT so is good to go for the next 12 months. The car has done 127,000 and has four owners. The car is the facelifted version, so it has the new style front end and the better dashboard/console trim. The car is the 16v 150bhp version JTDm version, so a lot more go than the 8v version found on some cars. The car has leather seats, electric windows, remote locking, aircon, electric mirrors. The car also has a tow bar fitted. The body work is in good condition, the black is deep and glossy and comes up well with very little effort. There are some marks in line with age, but free from those annoying car park dents down the sides Inside is very clean, leather is almost unmarked and the boot clean and tidy. The rear window does not work on the one side, the motor makes the right noises but the window stays closed, likely it was opened when iced up and the plastic connector has snappeMechanically it is sound, as said, 12 months MOT. Previous owner put on new front tyres and rear suspension arms, I added new front discs and pads for the MOT and changed the cambelt , I have also completed oil change and also the air filter. Underneath is exceptionally clean and the floor pan is in excellent order, no rust on the seams or damage from trolley jacks that often affects Alfas. Engine pulls well with plenty of power. The ride is decent, quite supple with no issues stopping or steering. The car comes with a decent stack of receipts, but only partial history, two keys, the radio code and Alfa handbooks.
